With that in mind, Vans worked with Rowan to create the Vans Rowan 2 Skate Shoes, an evolution of his first signature skate shoe with upgrades to both style and function to help Rowan continue pushing progression. Drawing design cues from vintage court shoes, the Rowan 2 is built with ImpactWaffle technology—a combination of Vans’ dual-density impact cushioning and SickStick rubber, providing exceptional impact protection without sacrificing boardfeel.

ImpactWaffle Technology - The Rowan 2 evolves ImpactWaffle technology by extending it further into the forefoot for enhanced impact protection, ensuring skaters experience maximum comfort and protection without compromising boardfeel.

SickStick Rubber Cupsole - Featuring a zonal tread design in the forefoot for enhanced grip and board control, and a reversed waffle tread pattern in the heel to increase longevity, the Rowan 2's SickStick rubber cupsole offers exceptional performance on and off the board.

Duracap Reinforcement - The exposed Duracap on the uppers ensures maximum durability against wear and tear, making the Rowan 2 resilient for intense skate sessions.

Enhanced Comfort with Sockliner - An additional layer made of 98% recycled foam is added on top of a molded midsole, providing extra comfort and cushioning, perfect for all-day wear.

Sustainability-Conscious Materials - The Rowan 2 incorporates recycled and natural materials, including leather, suede, organic cotton, and recycled PET polyester. Vans supports responsible manufacturing via the Leather Working Group, ensuring their leather products meet high environmental standards.

The Vans Rowan 2 Skate Shoes were designed with sustainability in mind and qualify for Vans’ Checkerboard Globe Logo. This logo signifies that the product follows strict design and material guidelines intended to reduce environmental impact, with at least 30% of the materials being recycled, renewable, and/or regenerative.
