Coming from a person that's openly hated and detested Spitfire Classics, I had to try the new Spitfire Formula Four Classics and see if I was still justified to throw public temper tantrums trying to convince people that Spitfires were nothing but good marketing and bad wheel making. Don't get me wrong, who doesn't love that flaming skull? It's sick that a company openly supports equal rights in America: nothing screams tight pants and PBR more than a Spitfire sticker slapped on your local skatepark's miniramp.

Bones riders, get off of your high horse, Spitfire Formula Four Classics are as good as any Street Tech or Park Tech formula Bones wheel that you've likely been ranting and raving about. And while there are noticeable differences between Spitfires and Bones, the un-flatspotability has been matched.

The (subjective) differences:

  • Bones wheels had less grip on slick Masonite.
  • Spitfires are much more visually appealing than Bones Wheels. They have a "classic" skate-like look about them that's unmatched. I don't know if you've ever heard, but people often dislike Bones for their plastic-like look. Check them out, they're shiny-like.
  • Spitfires felt like a much faster wheel.
  • Bones tend to make a different sound when you powerslide them. I know, that sounds ridiculous, but it's true. I tend to like the Bones sound more.

If you like the board, then buy a Tyrant and support America!
