The Crab Grab Chop Mitten is Bode Merrill’s reworked pro model built for riders who treat snowboarding like a full-time job. Previously known as the Man Hands mitten, the Chop comes back tougher, more weatherproof, and fully vegan without losing that rugged workwear feel it’s known for.
These things are made to handle long storm days, freezing chairlift rides, and constant abuse without turning into soggy bricks halfway through the session. The 15K Dry-Claw Hipora membrane keeps moisture out while still breathing well enough for all-day riding, and the AX Grain Tech exterior gives you that durable leather-style feel without using animal products.
The fit is naturally pre-curved so they feel broken in right away instead of stiff and bulky. Crab Grab also wrapped the palm construction to reduce seams in high-wear areas, which helps durability a ton if you’re constantly grabbing, tweaking, or dragging hands through snow.
Inside, the micro fuzz liner and 3M insulation keep things warm without making the mitten feel oversized or clumsy. The resin-enhanced palm grip gives you extra hold when adjusting bindings, carrying boards, or just surviving icy parking lots.
