It is without question that Anthony Van Engelen has one of the most timeless styles as well as presence within the world of skateboarding; he's been pro since 1999 initially debuting his career as a pro for Alien Workshop. Since then Ave has landed himself what seems like a countless number of pro model shoes and even achieved the status of Thrasher Skate Mag's Skater Of The Year for 2015. With that said we're proud to introduce the AV Rapidweld Pro (left) and Rapidweld Pro Lite (right) to our shoe wall for this spring and summer season. Vans has been making shoes since what feels like the dawn of time, otherwise being their initial launch in 1966, and this shoe is without question one of the best to launch in their line. The Rapidweld pro embodies a classic Vans shoe silhouette incorporating a seamless design for increased durability, Duracap backing high wear areas of the shoe beneath the suede, the signature Ultracush HD insole for impact resistance, and the Luxiliner inner glove material for ultimate comfort. The Lite Pro version offers all of the same features alongside suede and mesh exterior material with the Duracap exposed on the outside as well for a different feel of flick and durability. Both of these are sure to satisfy anyone who's on the search for the right technical shoe in a world where everyone's trying to be the best; but with a brand who's 50 years and standing in the skate industry you might have a winning pick here.
