Go Skateboarding Day at the WIG recap

Go Skateboarding Day was this past Sunday, June 21st and we spent it at The WIG in Detroit. Community Push organized local shops to hold a contest on a feature. We picked the main center quarter pipe feature and it went down.

So, it turned out to be more of a contest in who could snake the best, but some trick still went down and prizes were won.

As the sun was setting Derek Dykas ran a Dad Jam contest. While I was pretty much skating by myself, I cleaned up and took home the win.
Once it was sufficiently dark, Robert Gutowski premiered his all night footage Detroit video, Nightbird. With the help of Redbull Detroit, the video was projected and premiered in the field. Many of our dudes had parts or clips. click on the link and check it out!
