~People by Dominic Palarchio

~ People, like my previous snowboarding films, attempts to end complacency of the genre’s conventions. While paying to snowboard at a resort can be viewed as bourgeois, street snowboarding has always been a reinterpretation of the built environment. I’m interested in taking that thought a step further by incorporating outside influences. Through careful curation we selected a majority of dilapidated post industrial locations in the rust belt cities of Detroit, Flint, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. Visual acts of snowboarding thus can begin to represent the regrowth of these areas plagued by late-capitalism. Most notable of the selection is a modernist ‘adventure park’ designed by acclaimed architect Richard Dattner. Once a symbol of progress it reflected the children’s interests rather than...

Communication by Dominic Palarchio

Dominic Palarchio dropped a heater edit that might mark the moment when you look forward to snow again! Riding your snowboard is a means of communication. You can speak with your riding. Have a voice. A style. Inspire others. Get them to see the landscape differently and create. No one rides street in a bubble. It takes a crew and communication is key. Everyone around here knows this was a challenging season, the snow just did not cooperate and street riding took a crazy amount of commitment and willingness to drop everything and shovel as much snow together to make something out of nothing. "Baby" by Dominic Palarchio Full Video

"Baby" is the most low-key slept on snowboard video of the 2017 season. Taking a very different approach from the hype generic promotional material, "Baby" is a labor of love beholden to none. The progressive editing style of Dominic Palarchio offers a fresh vibe in a world of energy drink sponsors and product placement. He wanted "Baby" to be something you seek out, rather than cramming down your throat. There is infinitely more value in something that you discover and seek out, and share with your friends. baby from Dominic Palarchio on Vimeo. "Baby" is a two year snowboard video project filmed by Dominic Palarchio, Addison Beeker, and Brandon Ash. The video features many of our team riders and friends...

"Holly Melting" edit by John Kubiak

Mt. Holly has been good to the michigan snowboard scene and is coming into a more solid stride this season. Without a doubt, it relates to the excellent team of park groomers, builders, and riders taking care of it (a few of whom work at or ride for the shop). While old man winter really didn't cooperate with us this season, they still were in a constant state of hard work making the best park they could. Holly officially called it quits for the season, but will be back next year with something great!Check out John Kubiak's edit featuring: Trevor Newman, Nick Puffer, Brandon Ash, Scott Smith, Matt Ruhle, and Mitch Kirby shredding on the last day here this season. We're looking...
